Hi, it has been a while since I last wrote.
Tough to compress 2 years of updates, into one post, but I’ll give some highlights.
Made many friends for a life-time
Made many new friends for a lifetime.
All talented people, immersed in their individual goals while sharing their work and insights and wisdom to enrich each other.Getting a job
Probably the best decision I made was taking a job that paid well.
Cut the risks.
Built when I had time, worked most time.
Kept me sane and gave me money to pursue my interests and projects.Unfollowed everyone
I have unfollowed everyone on Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube etc.,
It has nothing to do with people I unfollowed or that I feel I am better than everyone.
I didn’t want to follow anyone, just wanted to walk alongside everyone.
Increasingly find a machine running an algorithm of “You liked this so you’ll like this too. Please stay here and enjoy more of such content so we can milk you for our ad revenue”.
Find it more peaceful and reminiscent of a time when I didn’t have internet, but also useful to find things I find interesting and connect with people I want to work with.Health and fitness
Back when I wrote my last blog, I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to my health.
Wanted to find answers to my questions and everything else felt trivial.
Hired a trainer, learnt how to lift weights with the right form and achieved significant improvement in health.Working with Jack Butcher
Working with Jack was a gift.
Everything about Jack is intentional, careful and precise.
Working with Jack for a small project gave some life changing insights.
Was running this discord bot to keep track of gm’s in the server.
As people interacted with it, I iterated and made it better.
Then I built a proper full fledged version 🚲 ➝ 🚗 that is currently on 100 servers and more than 4000 people have interacted with it.
Anyone who uses gm bot can tell you my turn around time is minutes or hours.
Whether you are a free/premium user always open to suggestions (but better if paid).L1 idea
This is something I use to describe ideas, really helped me frame projects.
L1 ideas are the base of an idea, they are 1 input 1 output and if the ideas are interesting I can iterate on it.This might not apply for everyone’s project, this is my personal frame of reference.
Helped me build more projects.Less judgmental
Before I used to come up with ideas and then run to judge them.
Now if I have an idea I feel is interesting I write it down, let it marinate.
Keep it in the notes for a while and if I feel this idea is calling me, I respond.
Ideas come as I go through life, interact with people and things. Pick those that are interesting.Less
I’ve not stopped experimenting, but I’m ruthlessly cutting things that are not hitting.
Used to do streaming, writing, blogging, coding……on and on.
Now I only do programming because I can solve problems.Calmer
I’ve noticed a difference since the sale happened.
Everything in my work is now calmer, clearer.
It was something I really wanted to achieve, the money wasn’t much but getting there meant a lot for me.

Have many stories to tell, but I’ll save them for later.
If you want to see all the projects (yeah there is more) you can check them here:https://nishantpai.com/links
Bye.
Take care.
